Hey mama,

Do you find it hard to come up with yet again MORE gifts (that your baby likely won't even use) for ANOTHER Holiday?? Or maybe you're just sick of all the candy constently being marketed to you during holiday seasons. Either way, I've got your back. As a mom of nearly a decade now, I started implimenting the cutest, non-wasteful, and candy-free Easter baskets for my kiddo from day one, and I'd love to pass along the ideas to help you out.

But first, can we take a moment to appreciate how cute my baby was?! Circa 2017

Beach Bum Baby

This is actually the basket I curate for my kiddo every single year. Why? Because we've always lived on the coast and Easter is right about the time that "beach season" starts for us. Which means she'll need a new swimsuit, goggles, beach toys, etc. either way...so it just makes sense that the Easter bunny would bring her these instead of me having to buy for Easter AND beach season.

For us, this looks like 2-3 new pairs of swimsuits, sunscreen, new sunglasses, and a beach themed book. However, if she needed anything else for the season, i'd add that in there as well.

Outdoors Baby

If your kiddo LOVES to get dirty and spend time collecting bugs or playing in the garden, this is a perfect option for you! I always start with the essentials first- sun hat, non toxic sunscreen, a garden themed book, and then go from there. Some other great options are a flower press, garden starter kits, magnifying glass, bug catching kits, butterfly kit, and anything else that screams "I'm never going to get my kid to go inside again".

Cozy Baby

Let's say your family is more about spending spring in the comfort of your home, which I definitely don't blame you if you live up north or somewhere with crazy pollen. If this is the case, I'd make a Beatrix Potter themed Easter basket. Think tea sets, Peter Rabbit book with a stuffie, a cozy blanket to cuddle with, baking toys, etc. This basket embodies all things spring while keeping it cuddly.

Intentional

The number one thing on my mind when I am picking out Easter basket stuffers is I want it to be something that my child will actually love. Each kiddo is unique and will love something different than their peer. I want to personalize the basket I make specifically for what I think my daughter would be delighted to wake up to.

Practical

Not only am I thinking about what she would love to receive, but also if it's actually going to be used and something that is needed. For us, a beach/swim themed basket has always been the most practicle for our lives this time of the year.

Educational

With Easter comes so many beautiful lessons. For my Christian friends, this is a great time to teach the Easter Story and God's goodness. If you're not religious, Easter is a wonderful time to be teaching about Earth's cycles and the Spring Equinox. Either way, I personally always include a themed book that we can sit around as a family to read together.

These three simple Easter Basket ideas can also grow with you and your kiddos. The Beach Bum Baby basket has evolved over the years and now includes paddle board accessories vs. floaties. The other two can grow and evolve as your children get older as well.

If you're looking to shop on a budget, I have an Amazon List full of items that would be perfect for any of these themed baskets. Check it out HERE
